Two-time Conference USA Player of the Year ... three-time All C-USA Honoree and a two-time All-Defensive squad member ... 2007 Conference USA Freshman of the Year ... entered the senior season as one of only three players in Conference USA history to register at least 1,110 career points, 445 assists and 220 thefts ... UTEP school record holder for career assists and steals, while is on track to become the all-time leading scorer and finish as part of the winningest class ever in program history.

Professional Career

Lider Pruszkow, Poland (Europe)

Played overseas for two seasons in Europe for the Lider Pruszkow, in Poland. Due to a misfortunate shoulder injury, Hughes' professional career was deterred, to later flourish as a Professional Trainer, Coach, and Mentor.

Coaching Career

Middle & High School

Coach Hughes has shaped and molded future athletes and she has personally overseen the recruitment of athletes into top College Basketball Programs.


She has Varsity and Junior varsity regional championships with Groves High School, Southfield A & T, Storm league, etc.

Hall of Fame

University of Texas-El Paso, 2018

The highest honor an athlete can receive after putting in the time, practice and focus is to be inducted in their school's Hall of Fame.

In 2018, Hughes was inducted to the University of Texas-El Paso (UTEP), with 9 unbroken records, to which only one has been surpassed to this day.
